Flick Through English has been created in order to help children learn and improve their English through books.
Reading books offers experiences that stimulate natural acquisition of the language. It helps readers build their vocabulary, gain more focus and develop empathy, all on top of experiencing exciting stories. And what teaches better than excitement and passion? Our method, developed during years of work experience within bilingual communities, uses reading for pleasure (extensive reading) as a foundation for close text analysis (intensive reading). In our classes we discuss a lot, so also children who have not developed passion for reading (yet!) will find themselves comfortable in our classes. Every term we organise online drama workshops where students get the opportunity to explore the books they have read through drama techniques. You are welcome to join us!
Our classes are conducted online and in English only!
